herbal medicine
Medicinal plants can be used to treat a complex network of bodily dysfunction.
Oral forms of administration:
Food: ingested as a whole plant or condiment
Tea: dried plant parts infused in boiling water
Tincture: medicinal herbs dissolved in an alcohol solution
Pill: powdered herb that is packed into a tab or capsule
Some of my favourite herbs include:
Turmeric: may help in the reduction of inflammation and pain
Ginger: a warming herb to support bloating and indigestion
Kava: helps promote muscle relaxation, a sense of calm, and sleep
Rosemary: a powerful herb to stimulate mental clarity
Calendula: may be used topically for wound healing
Cordyceps: a mushroom that supports stress, athletic performance and immune function
